Photography & Poetry Are Quite Similar Don't You Think?
Thu, January 28, 2010 at 2:15 PM Writing a poem, or looking through the lens - it's all about observing the world and people around you. You have an idea, oodles of inspiration and you feel a need to put the two concepts together to show your perception of the subject in hand.
Whether viewing a photograph or reading a poem, you hope it conveys an emotion and is expressive! Of course, everyone has a different interpretation when they read a poem or look at a picture and this is why I was quite excited when my friend Paul asked me to take some photographs to accompany some poems he had written to be published in a book he was putting together.
Paul’s book ‘Through A Shutter’ was published in December and has received a fantastic response and I was very flattered to have my images printed alongside his work.
I’ve selected a few of the images from the book that go alongside Paul’s poems but if you want to have a read you’ll have to buy the book yourself!
